Who is Jen McLellan?

Jen McLellan, a published author and the founder of Plus Size Birth, has been a beacon of positive change since her plus size pregnancy experience in 2010. Faced with negativity and misinformation, she sought an evidence-based, compassionate approach to pregnancy, leading to an empowered birth and a profound personal transformation​​.

Jen's mission through Plus Size Birth, which has become the leading resource in this field, is to dispel myths and promote evidence-based information. ​​

As a certified childbirth educator, Jen McLellan has an extensive background in patient advocacy, volunteer management, and public speaking, making her a credible and engaging instructor.

She's also the host of the popular Plus Mommy Podcast.

What should I bring to the class?

All you need is a water bottle or something to drink and business cards to pass out.

Pens and paper will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite notebook. I’ll provide everything else for you to enjoy the class. With that said, I always recommend bringing an extra layer of clothing in case the room is chilly.

What happens if I'm called to a birth and unable to attend? 

I fully respect the on-call life of birth professionals. So, I will refund your classroom fee if you’re unable to attend due to a birth.
