Gorgeous photos and a great story! I think EVERY woman should do a boudoir shoot at some point. Women are almost always sexier than they think they are, and these shoots are incredible for helping them find confidence. I recently did a shoot myself and it was super empowering and so fun.

Your Daddy made me cry too Jen! I would so love to do this, but really don’t know how to go about finding a size friendly, comfortable-making photog. You know, maybe you could put it out there for your readers in the same way you did with the size friendly doula listings. Just a thought! Thanks so much for sharing this experience with us. I got boduoir photography done for my husband as a adding gift last summer. It was an amazing experience and I loved tge way I looked in the photos. Like me, just in a way I had never seen myself before. It cost a fortune though. Next time I will shop around for a better price. I want to get maternity boduoir photograhy done for this pregnancy.

Good for you sister. These photos are beautiful! I think all women, regardless of size, have body image problems. Yoga once made me care more about how I felt than how I looked. A complicated pregnancy has left me with a miracle baby but an unrecognizable body. Thanks for the inspiration. And tell your dad he made me cry.

Wow! I can’t tell you how happy your blog made me feel to hear how this experience empowered you and released you from your self-loathing feelings about your body. It also reminded me that I need to stop waiting until I’m under 200 lbs before enjoying my next massage! I have to say that this blog is my favorite of all of the blogs you have written. Yep, thats me up there right under my beautiful friend Jen. I’m printed in in black and white and all my sensual fantastic glory. The shoot was one of my favorite days ever. The women were of every ilk… shy or outgoing, thin or plus-size, outwardly reserved “looking” or freakishly tattooed ( like me )… I highly encourage every single woman to try this (especially you hot mommas!!) I used a V-day gift for my partner as an excuse but in the end, really, it was a gift for me. I think we all felt that way. Plan it. Have a boudoir photo shoot party. Get as naked as you can. Do it.
