I’m Jen McLellan, founder of Plus Size Birth and a trusted educator, speaker, and advocate advancing size-inclusive maternity care.

For over a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of education, advocacy, and perinatal support, focusing on addressing weight bias across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. My work includes national speaking engagements, a TEDx talk on weight bias in healthcare, and ongoing education and consulting with perinatal professionals.

I’m a certified childbirth educator and the host of the Plus Mommy Podcast, a widely recognized resource for evidence-based conversations about pregnancy, body size, and maternal health. My work has been endorsed by the National Institutes of Health and featured in leading media outlets, including The New York Times, Glamour, and CNN.

Through my teaching, I support perinatal professionals in building more respectful, evidence-informed, and size-inclusive practices grounded in research, reflection, and real-world application.
